| here we go.
NYC : day 1
after dropping our stuff off at the hotel, we were walking around for about a half hour when we came up to a theater and a crowd of people and all of the sudden we saw

yep adam sandler. and kate beckinsale(no picture of her tho). it was really cool. they had just filmed something upstairs at
after that excitement we had our eyes peeled for more famous people, but never saw any the rest of the trip. bummer
these bike-taxi type things were all over, but we never took one

took this for all of the sports obsessed guys out there.. and girls i guess, if there are any

that night we went to the EMPIRE STATE BUILDING. on our way there we stopped by
the NY Public Library. if you've seen "the Day after Tomorrow", you'd appreciate this -- or, if you just love libraries, like ANNA -- its the library that a lot of movie is set in. we tried to go in and see the inside 3 different
days. this first time they were just about to close. the 2nd day, we
were too early they weren't open yet. the 3rd day, a monday, they weren't even open. how stupid is that. on a monday.
okay so like i was saying, that night we went to the EMPIRE STATE BUILDING. well, it wasnt really at night. unfortunately. but it was still neat. if you've ever seen "Elf", you should recognize this, when he first walks into it to find his dad..
i was seriously trying not to laugh here, right when we were walking in b/c i thought of that movie and it was just funny. i love that movie
here is the view from the 86th floor. could've gone up to the 102nd but mom didn't want to.
a pigeon.. all the way up there.
mi madre and i

and the view from the ground when we were done.

walking around later that night we saw this. i'm pretty sure its one of the strangest modes of transportation i've ever, ever seen. [[mostly for tourists to use, probably]]
its like 6 people pedal and 1 steers. and it all goes in one direction. very odd.
times square at night. our hotel was in the area called times square, but it was really a couple blocks away.

so that was our first day. i think i'll put these all up in separate days. there's 4 more.
yes, i think that would be better.
sneak peek for day 2... you'll just have to come back to find out what they are
